About us and these terms
Elford Tech Repairs Ltd (Company No. 16248619, VAT No. GB496496717), Unit 42 Greendale Farm, Elford, Tamworth, Staffordshire B79 9DJ. Placing an order or booking a repair forms a contract with us on these terms. Nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Quotes and prices
- Repair quotes are free and given before any work starts. We will contact you for approval if we find anything additional.
- Shop prices include UK VAT where applicable. The total shown at checkout is the price you pay.
- If we quoted a price in error, we will contact you before taking payment.
Repairs
- Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees — most repairs are same-day or next-day, but parts availability can cause delays.
- Repairs are warranted for 12 months from collection against defects in the parts we fitted or the work carried out. The warranty does not cover new faults, accidental damage, liquid damage after repair, or other people's work on the device.
- We take great care with your data, but repairs can involve risks — please back up your data before handing in a device. We are not liable for data loss unless we caused it by negligence.
- Uncollected devices: we will contact you at least twice by phone, email and/or text. If a device is left with us for more than 90 days after completion without collection or payment, we may sell it to recover storage and repair costs, after giving written notice, in line with our legal rights.
- Devices may be refused or returned unrepaired if we consider them unsafe to handle (for example hazardous battery swelling or biohazard contamination).
Buying goods from the shop
- Refurbished devices are tested, graded and sold with a 12-month warranty. The grade shown on the product page describes cosmetic condition.
- Stock is sold subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we will refund you in full.
- Batteries in refurbished devices are guaranteed to hold a reasonable charge; battery health on older devices may be below 100% and is described on the product page where known.
Delivery
- UK delivery is £12 via tracked DPD, dispatched within 2 working days of payment clearing (often sooner).
- Local collection from Elford, Tamworth is free — we will email or text when your order is ready.
- Risk passes to you on delivery. If an item arrives damaged, tell us within 48 hours and we will put it right.
Cancelling — your 14-day rights (online orders)
If you buy from this website, phone or email you generally have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, for any reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations — see our returns policy for how. If you asked us to begin a service (such as an on-site visit or remote support session) during the cancellation period and then cancel, you may need to pay for the work already done.
Faulty goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be of satisfactory quality, as described and fit for purpose. You have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days for a full refund; after that we may repair or replace them, and for the first six months it is assumed any fault was present at delivery unless we can show otherwise.
Payment, Klarna and business services
- We accept card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay and, on eligible orders from £100, Klarna Pay in 3. Klarna Pay in 3 is provided by Klarna Bank AB, not by us — Klarna's terms apply, and 18+, UK residents, subject to status.
- Business IT support, managed plans and website services are invoiced per the agreement or monthly plan signed or accepted at the time. Managed plans can be cancelled with 30 days' notice.
- Late payment of business invoices may attract interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act.
Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our negligence, but we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profits or lost data) except where the law does not allow that exclusion. Our liability for any claim is limited to the price you paid for the service or goods, except where a higher limit applies by law. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
