One workshop, every console

We're not a phone shop that "also does consoles" — we're a proper repair workshop with the right tools for every system. That includes a micro-soldering station, hot-air rework, ultrasonic cleaner, original Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo parts where available, and the obscure tooling needed for older consoles like Tri-Wing and Game Bit drivers.

Across Staffordshire we serve customers from Burton upon Trent in the north-east, down through Lichfield and Tamworth, across to Cannock, Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent, and into the surrounding villages.

Console repairs we offer

  • PlayStation 5 — HDMI ports, disc drives, overheating, controllers.
  • PlayStation 4 & PS4 Pro — HDMI, blue light of death, disc drives, fans.
  • Xbox Series X / S — HDMI port replacement, fan & PSU faults.
  • Xbox One / S / X — disc drive, HDMI, eject button.

  • Steam Deck — sticks, screen, SSD upgrades, fan replacement.
  • Retro consoles — recapping, laser repair, RGB modding.
  • Controllers — stick drift, batteries, charging ports.

Common faults across all consoles

Modern consoles share a few weak points: HDMI ports that get knocked, fans that clog with dust, and thermal compound that dries out after 2–3 years and causes overheating, crashes or system shutdowns. The good news is they're all fixable. A deep-clean and repaste typically takes a console from "loud and crashing" back to silent and stable in under a week.

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer free console collection in Staffordshire?

Yes — free collection within a 15-mile radius of Tamworth, covering most of South and East Staffordshire. Outside that area we offer insured tracked postal repair.

How long does a console repair take?

Most modern console repairs (HDMI, disc drive, overheating) are completed within 3–5 working days from drop-off. Retro console repairs may take longer if specialist parts are needed.

Can you fix joy-con drift?

Yes — we replace the analog stick module rather than just spraying contact cleaner inside, which is the only reliable fix. We also offer hall-effect upgrade kits to prevent it happening again.

Do you repair retro consoles?

Yes — PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, original Xbox, Wii, GameCube, Nintendo 64, SNES and more. We can also recap older consoles to keep them alive for another decade.

Can you fit an SSD to a Steam Deck?

Yes — we fit upgraded NVMe SSDs to Steam Decks (LCD and OLED), clone your existing data, and reinstall SteamOS so it's ready to play when it comes back.
